Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is located on the Captain Cook Highway between Cairns and Port Douglas at Wangetti.
This spectacular route is now known as The Great Barrier Reef Drive and is surrounded by the UNESCO listed Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Hartley’s is 40 km (40 minutes) north of Cairns, 15 minutes north of Palm Cove and 25 km south of Port Douglas.

Look for the Brown and White signs on the highway at Wangetti; our car park is just 100 metres off the Captain Cook Highway.
Please note due to limited internet/data coverage at our location, some navigation systems may not recognise our private access road. Turn off the highway, then left at the road named Harry Freeman Drive.
Tours & Uber
You can visit us by private vehicle or hire a car, and parking is free. Also, many coach operators in Cairns, Palm Cove and Port Douglas offer regular shuttle services to us or feature Hartley’s in a coach day tour. Please check with individual companies for availability.
For visitors using Uber or other ride-sharing applications, please note that there is limited mobile phone coverage and we recommend booking your return trip before stepping out of the car!
